In this chapter, Paul is not calling us to be judgmental but he is saying that, if someone is continually putting themselves "out there" as a Christian leader but also participating in sinful behavior, without remorse, something needs to be done. When we as Christians fail to live up to the standards that have been set for us, and we also fail to admit our sin, we are sending a very wrong message to unbelievers and we are damaging the kingdom of God instead of growing it.
