THAT WORD
A new blog, The Friendly Christian, has invited folks to comment on what about the word "Christian" might make their stomach turn. The comments received thus far are rather interesting. LINK HERE if you wish.

I could only get about halfway through before it overtook me. You know that people feel this way but wow...so hard to read.
I'm going to link to this today and ask for my readers to go read through it and then offer up some prayers for those whose eyes are still unopened.

Hey Todd. Thanks for the support. I wanted to let you know that I've closed the comments on this post. As you've seen, it got pretty intense. Today's post is the flip-side of yesterdays: what GOOD do you see coming out of Christianity. I'd be excited to hear what you guys have to say.

Tough to swallow, eh?
The comments as to what turns people off about Christianity are troubling and tough to swallow. But they are the reality out there for many pre-Christians. If we're to reach folks, we need to, with our words and actions, send messages that either disprove these thoughts or put them in the appropriate light and context of understanding.
