II CORINTHIANS 3 (NIV)
With Jesus' death and resurrection came a new covenant, a new way of living. No longer are those following God forced to hear His direction only through a chosen few. Instead, God blesses the quiet, the broken, the poor, the contrite. No longer are we forced to search for things in this world which may allow us to feel a certain connection to a greater power. Instead, that power can live within us, bringing us direction, bringing us comfort, and bringing us hope. No longer are we in our minds waiting to be called to some mystical place. But instead now we can begin going about our Father's work here and now, creating His kingdom. And we can do so -- nay, we must do so -- boldly and with confidence for we can do all things through Him who strengthens us.
