THE SOUND OF SILENCE (except for that annoying cough)
It's sort of amazing me just how little I have had to say lately. I don't know why. Just doing life I guess. And fighting this stinking cough I have had since December 21. The worst part is that it is physically impossible for me to cough quietly. My coughs sound a little like enormous sneezes. That's not all bad. Lots of people are blessing me after I let loose with one -- which poses an interesting problem. People aren't supposed to bless you for coughing. They do that for sneezing. If someone thinks your cough was actually a sneeze and they bless you, are you obligated to give the blessing back to them?
Why do we say "God Bless You" after someone sneezes anyway? Here is one explanation.

You know, Todd, it dawned on me yesterday that you've been even quieter than Lisa lately. I was going to drop you an email and see if you all were busy or if something else was going on.
My take on why someone says "God bless you" after a sneeze is probably because when people would sneeze back in the 1800's (or so) it meant they were getting sick and getting sick might mean dying, so they would bless the person to keep the sickness from getting worse.
No?
