LEADERSHIP QUOTE
For the last couple of years, I have sort of stolen from a quote by Henry Blackaby on what "leadership" is and I have defined it as being "getting someone off of their personal agenda and onto the agenda at hand." A lot of inspiring those you're leading must be a part of that.
An automated email from Brian Tracy this morning sent me the following definition of "leadership." I like it though it seems a bit like "leadership without direction."
Back when I was in college and starting out in business, the word "leadership" was not being used. "Management" tended to be the word of that day, I have appreciated the change to "leadership" and it's very nice to see this older quote on this subject.
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” -- John Quincy Adams
