The early part of Chapter 12 seems to be talking about a coming time of tribulation -- Armageddon if you will. However, verse 10, which seems sequential to the earlier part of Zechariah 12, talks about a pouring out of spirit and grace ... something which almost certainly must have been the arrival of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost.

So, where does that leave us with the early part of Chapter 12. Was it actually a prophesy of Jesus' birth ... and the change that brought to the world ... rather than a prophesy Armageddon?
